Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

Finesse & Fire (finesseandfire.com) is a personal baseball blog written by Nate Yates. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The only personal information it receives is what you choose to type into its two forms.

What we collect, and why

  • Contact form — your name, email address, and message. Used only to read and reply to what you sent.
  • Mailing list — your email address and your consent to receive updates. Used only to send the monthly update with links to new posts and other content.
  • Server logs — like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept according to Hostinger’s own retention policy.

What we don’t do

  • No cookies, analytics, advertising networks, or social-media tracking pixels.
  • No selling, renting, or trading of your information.
  • Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so pages don’t call out to third-party services when they load.

The “Share” buttons under each post are plain links. Nothing is sent to Facebook, X, or LinkedIn unless you click one of them, at which point you are on their site and their policies apply.

Where your information goes

Form submissions are emailed to the site’s inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail), and a copy is kept on the web server so a message can’t be lost if an email fails. Mailing-list addresses may later be moved into an email-newsletter service to send the updates; if that happens, this page will be updated to name it.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer them and handle any follow-up, then deleted. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time, by emailing finessefireindex@gmail.com. We’ll act on it promptly. Depending on where you live — for example the EU, the UK, or California — you may have additional rights under local law, and you can also complain to your data-protection authority.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email finessefireindex@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
