Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 24, 2026

Finesse & Fire should be usable by every baseball fan, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or other assistive technology. The site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Every page has one main heading and a logical heading order, landmark regions, and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, and the item in focus always shows a visible outline.
  • Meaningful images have text alternatives; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Form fields have visible labels; required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words and announced to screen readers.
  • The scrolling banner on the home page can be paused, and it stays still if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and when zoomed up to 400%, without sideways scrolling.

How we test

The site is checked with automated accessibility testing and by hand with a keyboard at phone, tablet, and desktop sizes. It has not yet been audited by an outside specialist or tested with a panel of assistive-technology users. If something gets in your way, please tell us — that feedback is the most useful testing there is.

Known limitations

Some older photographs on the site are small originals, so they can look soft when zoomed in. Their text alternatives describe what they show.

Feedback and contact

If you run into an accessibility barrier, or need any content in a different format, email Nate Yates at finessefireindex@gmail.com. Please include the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five business days.
